I have a question regarding contract jobs. I just completed a contract job and was wondering if anyone knew what forms I am supposed to recieve from the employer. I believe its 1099-MISC. could someone plz advice?

what is really bothering me is that none of the tax forms seem to contain the actual dates of employment of the contract but just the year. is that right?
