I got an email from Compgeeks and saw this CASE I like this as a starter case for my daughter. Will an ECS K7S5A Pro fit in here? TIA for the help.
Oh yeah, btw, best part is it is only $12.50.

Virtually any ATX or Micro ATX board will fit in here. Keep in mind that the power supply completely covers where the CPU is normally located, so tall heatsinks will not fit in this case. There is also no room for an extra fan at the back/top of the case. Probably not the best setup for a hot CPU like AMD.

I agree..might be good for an old k6-2 system or a P1 or maybe a P2...I've learned that you get what you pay for in the PC case world..I bought a cheesy Inwin A500 for my duron system, had to add 3 fans just to get it to cool a 700 duron..idle temps were like 46C...I did however jump on the 400w newegg case for like 35 or whatever though no complaints yet....running oldschool with my 700 duron @ 927.

According to the notes on that link:

Note:
This case will not support P4 or Athlon motherboards

I couldn't tell why, but I tend to take their word for it.

As a "starter" case it looks...well it looks to be about 12.50 worth of case Personally, I think the placement of the PS really kills it if you intend to run any chip produced this century, but if you had an old p5-class, it'd probably be ok, assuming no one had to tinker around inside much. I (and I'm sure many others, perhaps even you) can agree that 'cheaper' cases tend to be made with alot of attention paid to making sure production is cheap...parts inside that shouldn't bend tend to bend much easier, edges tend to be sharper, hence my comment about poking around inside. We all (well, most anyway) admire your frugality, but even if you actually like the looks of the case, I think I couldn't overlook the other non-obvious facts of the case.

DO NOT BUY THIS CASE

it sucks some major butt.
I have it running my sisters P4 1.9 and it overheats everytime the side panel is on. and I have an intake fan doing its best but there is not a location for an exhaust fan.

also the power supply is located overtop the cpu which also is a major cause to the heat problem

the plastic is so cheap that the fron part doesn't even stay on anymore, the plastic pins have broken off.

do yourself a favor and avoid this piece of crap.

Crappy compgeeks, the worst online company I've ever dealt w/! Check its retailer rating!

I am pretty sure it is because of the way the power supply sits right over the processor. I put together parts on a computer for someone who used a similar case for an athlon, and it had just enough clearance but pretty shitty airflow. But since his processor was retail i figured he had a 3yr warantee on it, so why not?

Oh and yeah, its not a good looking case.
They arent cheap but Lian-Li cases are good looking, functional, and have good airflow
