that keyboard is sick:

"View game stats. Use the GamePanel? LCD to view game stats, create new macros, and keep track of important system information without leaving the game. The LCD panel closes completely for transport and storage.

Play in the dark. Illuminated characters are easily visible in both bright- and low-light conditions, with three levels of backlighting for late-night gaming sessions.

Create and save macros with a press of a button. 18 fully programmable ?G Keys? have three shift states each, for 54 possible custom macros per game

Eliminate cable hassles! Intelligently route mouse, headset, or other cables using convenient channels under the keyboard.

Record custom key sequences. Make on-the-fly additions to your key programming set with Macro Record button.

Watch and listen. Convenient media keys for easy management of audio and video playback."

Keyboard looks over the top. I'd have to try it in person before making a purchase.

I wish they went with the MX1000 design for mice and not the old MX 5/7/9 series
Swappable batteries is dreamy

O man that would help me out a ton... minimizing my games to see what aim or xfire popped up with... if I could see that in game without shrinking the game it would be SWEET! Not to mention for team communication in-game as well.

The G7 looks really cool, except I don't like that they removed one of the side buttons.

I'll probably still end up buying one anyway though.

Yeah, expect prices to drop shortly after they come out...This isn't much of a deal really.

The keyboard is so completely useless, who would use the backlit LED for any reason other than monitoring their CPU temp? When you're in the middle of a game, you don't have the time to look down at the keyboard LED to check for how much ammo you have, which is why you put it on your screen...

The mice, however, do look good. I noticed with my MX518 that it's not as heavy as my MX500 which I didn't like that much. Apparently Amazon isn't selling the Logitech G1 (MX300 shape), which is a bummer.

Actually that Keyboard (G15) might have a real business use for some at my work....

(comments welcome)

A few co-workers use ancient (6+yrs old) Gateway "Anykey" keyboards because they have a macro record function that is independent of OS. It would seem tha the G15 might also have this..... Anyone know of a different keyboard that records/plays macros at a key click.....

Thanks!

Not all gamers have a need to quickly look around. Having timers is a nice thing for EQ instead of having to find and download someone's UI mod or learn the XML to try and make one yourself.
I don't see much of a problem where you look for your numbers. Your eyes don't travel that much if the numbers are on screen or off. If your ammo is at the top, what difference does it make if the numbers are at the bottom in a LCD screen? You still are not looking directly at the action while looking at the on screen numbers. Your attention is elsewhere for that moment.
These new mice always start out high price. The MX1000 was $80 when new.

I like the backlit individual keys, vs. keyboards where the whole thing glows around the keys. Now give me one like that where every key is lit (looks like only certain ones are), and remove the LCD and G-keys, and I'll buy it.
