I did some tweaking. This drive is smokin' fast. I installed the Application Accelerator.
It doesn't get too hot either. I took it out immediately after shutting down and it was warm.
2 quick questions:
1. Did you use the old IAA 2.2.2, or did you find a way to modify IAA 2.3.0 to work with mobile chipsets?
2. After installing IAA, does hibernation take a lot longer than without IAA? After I installed IAA 2.2.2 in WinXP SP1, the hibernation process (copying from RAM to hard drive I presume) slowed to a crawl on my laptop.
The best IAA to use for mobile chipsets is V2.22. Don't bother hacking V2.30, doesn't make any sense.
If you want MAX performance, then select "DISABLED" for both "power management" and "acoustic management" for your Hard Drives in the IAA. "DISABLED" is faster than "MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE".
I don't use hiberanation on my laptop so I couldn't tell you if I have the same problem.
