Forgot to add, I just found that Kyosho makes these too. Kyosho is one of the top dog model makers out there. Theirs are a bit more expensive, but really curious how they compare to the TOMY. They have the wheel dial also.

the 3.0 motors are not smaller than the normal motors.. they're the same size you just need to use the black pinion gear instead of the white one or it wont work

Thanks for the post. This got posted here last December or so, and, I kept nagging my wife to get me one for christmas. They were expensive though (About $40 shipped). Instead, she bought me a belt, and I never forgave her.

So, anyway... *adjusts fine quality belt on waist* ... I couldn't deny the $17 a piece shipped pricetag was too good to be true, so, even if they are OEMs, I just ordered two of them.

I got the 2.2 engine OEM TT Tree's

Sorry, all of my knowledge is based on what I've read online I have yet to see a Bit Char-G, let alone a 3.0 motor in real life. Hopefully mine will arrive this week

The video of that little Mercedes looks like incredibly bad stop-motion animation!

it is quite a bit smaller though :-(

i hate this waiting shit

common mail man...

its supposed to come tommorrow as long as the ebay guy sent it when he said....

i cant wait... i shoulda drove to canada...

man anandtech is always lagged... this has to be the slowest page to load... i know why (cause they are so hardcore with these deals and stuff) but i mean common throw on another ad or something and give us 1/2 the load time

Yeah I second that, the boards here are slower than a dialup connections. Somrtimes the page loads then stops, then 30 seconds later or so it may resume or you are forced to use the refresh button. I can understand wanting to limit bandwidth, but really what are they accomplishing??? You still get the same amount of data only slower, and I must say it is not exactly inspiring me to pay more for faster access!

Lots of great links here guys, but I'm still having a heck of a time locating any Nissan Skyline R35 toys (not the GT-R, but the standard version). I've seen pictures of the Taiyo Radi-Can R/C one, but I haven't had any luck finding out how to purchase one here in the states.

Any help would be appreciated.

Subscribe and the boards will load sooner. Subscribe and you'll wish you'd done it sooner.

Well looking at the subscription rates I can pretty much garauntee that I will never subscribe here:
$30 a year which is $9.50 less than my hosting plan which proveds me 500 megs space 6 gigs transfer, PHP, ASP, SSI, POP3, SMTP, etc. etc. etc.
No banner ads, Adshield proveds this for free, don't use buddy lists, or private messages very often, as far as supporting Anandtech I have a hard time believing that one of the premeire websites/forums on the net is strapped for cash, plus people use the same ammount of badwidth where it takes 3 seconds to load a page or 30 minutes, in the end the gigs ad up equally.

I still haven't received mine yet, but I'm curious about the motors. So anyone who has one of these, help me out here. I took apart an old Motorola pager today to use the vibrator (muahaha) as another motor. The shaft (muahaha) is perfectly round. Are the real Bit Char-G motor shafts shaped like a 'D'? I'm just curious that the gear might not squeeze the shaft tightly enough and the shaft will spin freely inside of it or slip periodically.

Blah, blah, blah.

Hey, you know what they say: "Time is money." I don't know what your time is worth, but I have better things to do with mine than sit waiting for these forums to load. That's why I spend the $30/year. It's worth it to me not to have to sit and wait. Maybe your time isn't worth much.

Use some CA glue.
