Well after reading this entire thing, I'm now sucked in. I'm just deciding which body I want for a real Bit Char-G. And the people are right, eBay has some good deals, but too bad almost all the sellers are from Hong Kong. So the wait time is just as long.

I bought the Castrol Limited Edition Skyline off of Ebay - used buy it now, paid with credit card on Ebay payments on Friday night fom a Texas dealer... Car was in mailbox monday evening. So much better than waiting 2 weeks - and only $38 shipped!

Check out some of the US-based suppliers. The limited edition Bits (with the 2.6 motors) are around $40 each and the regular Bit Char-Gs are less. I'd say, for only one or two cars the total costs would be about the same as ordering from Hong Kong or Japan. They get to your door in a few days instead of weeks!

I got a Digi-Q last week (it's sweet!) and I have a Bit coming by Friday. It's very fast in 'Normal' mode, and the controller works well.

well, he was referring to US suppliers that sell the Bit Char-G. Sigma Automotive sells them for around $40 shipped. Cosmogames also sells them for around the same price. You can also do a search on Ebay for "Bit Char-G" and find other US-based suppliers that sells them. You can order them directly from the suppliers or you can try bidding for them on Ebay. Most US suppliers that Ebay these will have "in US" listed in their item title.

The American versions of the Bit Char-Gs that are coming out are called MicroSizers, and they are supposed to be arriving soon. Our local Hobbytown USA is supposed to get them sometime in August, but no definite date yet. They are also selling for around $40. They also make something called MicroMites which are cheaper, but not customizable.

I have a Tomy/Tomica Honda NSX-R Bit Char-G that I got off Ebay from Cosmogames for $32 that is supposed to get here on Friday.

I also have 2 TT Tree (OEM) Toyota Celicas that I ordered from Toyeast for $34 total that are supposed to get here in another week. The suspense is killing me! Anyway, I will definitely be sure to post when I get them & have had a chance to test them out.

The wait is killing me too Mine is scheduled to arrive 8/6. I would have more patience, but now I'm almost expecting it to be here anyday now from helyes's account. His toyeast order was expected to arrive 8/4, but he got it on 7/27. Arrgh, I want it now!

I have an authentic Tomy S2000 bought by a friend from Japan, it's fun though I'm not addicted to it.
I'm thinking about getting the OEM, imitated or fake... but the controllers look really ugly (a TV antenna?), wondering why couldn't they make it same as the Tomy's.

Does the Nikko's IRacer come in assembled? Then you will miss the fun in assembling the Bit Char-G and wondering how these smaller pieces can work together.

I ordered the Nissan Gloria back on the 24th. It's scheduled to arive on the 5th. But I've been doing some more reading and saw the toyota Supra so back to Toy East I went and ordered that one also, this time adding the 3.0 engine into the mix. SO now I'm waiting for two of them. I hope one shows up soon, the wait is driving me nuts. We already have a big race planned in our datacenter.

Geez helyes, you got one of your packages in just 4 days, and the other one that was scheduled to arrive on 8/6, the same day as mine, arrived yesterday. Arrrrgh. I want mine Hong Kong airmail must fly directly into Colorado and get distributed from there, lucky.

I've been wondering about the registered airmail thing. Do you guys think it flies into the US right beside helyes's house then gets sent into the regular snail mail system to be distributed? They couldn't fly it the entire way to all of our addresses could they?

I just came back from Taiwan and bought one of these. I bought one that was made in China, and its very poor quality. The screw on the battery door didn't work so I had to break the door off. After I put in the battery, the car did not go straight for a long time. Also, it does not turn very well. My cousin got a different one in Japan, and it works very well. Just for your info.

Oh yeah baby! The first one showed up today. I ordered this one air mail, but the Supra I ordered Express. I wonder how much sooner it'll show up. The people at work thought it was the coolest thing ever. One more toy for my desk. I can't wait to get the Supra with te 3.0 motor!
