Greetings,
I was wondering if anyone had the:
1. Gemini2 (http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16835103026 )
OR
2. Scythe Infinity http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16835185027
DFI Infinity Motherboard.
3. HR-05 SLI http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16835109131
( for the North or South Bridge Believe the North bridge needs more cooling over south)
4. ThermalRight Ultra 120 ( extreme??)
The reason I ask, is because I am purchasing a
CPU: C2D E4300,
Mobo: DFI Infinity
RAM: OCZ Platinum Rev 2.0 (2x1gb)
What I wanted to know is:
1. If you are using the Gemini II on this motherboard how much luck have you had?
a. I heard this cooler has weight issues and could supposedly break the PCB ( T / F)
b. If you are using this Cooler, what Fans would you recommend buying / installing ( Is it worth buying any?)
c. From what I understand the fans would go over the motherboard so it would save me a lot of time and effort in not worrying about cooling on the Ram chips, NB / SB since it would be blowing air on top of everything? I guess I will have to worry about noise since if you look at the pictures of my case. I have A LOT of case fans?
2. I can get the Scythe Infinity from Newegg for 10$ more and was wondering if its worth the extra money ( I know it comes with a fan so if 2 fans for the Gemini are going to cost me a lot more for only a 5C drop then its not worth it to me.
3. For the NB I would use the HR-05 SLI, would it make sense to take off the SB and throw some AS5 or Shin Metsu on that bay ( I bought AS5 and some Cooler Master Compound) but I may spend 5$ and get some Shin Estu Since I hear its even better
4. All in all I am spending about 500$ on the CPU, Coolers(no fan), mobo and Ram which is pretty good I just want to make sure I am not missing anything so please give me your 2 cents
Thanks a lot!
