My most favorite case, since the socket 1366 days:

New cooler was hoping to use on the 4790k:

Sadly the case cannot accommodate a 280mm radiator, only a 240mm.

It could if I wanted to hack it up, but, I really like having it pristine and being able to use the 200mm fans.

So, I ended up ordering a Cooler Master Nepton 140XL ( http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/cpu-liquid-cooler/nepton-140xl/ ), as the case has a bottom 140mm intake location.

I said in another thread, Coolermaster is the ricer of cases. They know how to make one style of case and one style only. That's not to say they are bad cases, just geared towards a particular market.

How things have changed.

Yep. Man, I remember that case from way back when I worked at Fry's Electronics.

All they have now is cases with plastic all over them. Don't get me wrong, from a functional standpoint they still make some kickass cases. I love my HAF XB EVO in that regards. But it could seriously do with some aesthetic work from Silverstone or LianLi. I'll take brushed aluminum over glossy plastic any day.

Even with it's excessive lighting (which is turned off), my H440 Razer still looks cleaner than 98% of CM's current offerings.

One thing to consider when choosing a case for water cooling are the 140mm Fan Spacing. The Standard is 15mm where as Corsair cases are 20mm. Not much to Mod with a 1/8" Drill Bit but just careful when choosing a Rad.

It's easy to modify the case but more complex to modify the Rad.

Another thing, when choosing a case, is to look at the available room above the MB when using a 280x30 or 60x140mm Rad mounted on top (2 x's 140mm fans or 4 in Push/Pull) so you can Off Set the Rad and clear the MB plus the top 5.52" Bay which you can notch out and still have room for an Optic Drive.

PS: I would sooner use the Corsair H110 CPU AIO rather then "i" model as Corsair's USB support is rather flaky and set CPU Fan Control in MB BIOS and one less Windows Configuration that will, no doubt, jab you when migrating your OS onto a different platform. May be why I protect a SYS-Prep Win Image ;o)

Don't dismiss me when I say the Corsair H110(i) AIO Cooler is not a Great CPU Cooler.

I use a $100 Fractal Design Midi R2 case with an H110/i7 2700K at 4.8Ghz and CF XSPC RAZOR 290X's Koolance 5.25" RP 401 x's 2 with a 1050W PSU and it all fits.

Compact, Heavy Power Hungry Little Beast with 3 pumps - Go Figure ;o)

Lousy PIC but what the &%% - It Idles at 37C and peaks out at 70C for both CPU and GPU's - 16GB Samsung MV-3V4G3D-US_DDR running at 1866Mhz 9-9-9-24 1T @ 1.34v's plus a cheap Korean QNIX QX2710 PLS LED Matt Display running between 60 to 130Hz - Love that Display until something proves better for the price:

T

That's just about enough to make some nVidia lover's Gringe - Love nVidia ;o)

Again, if your Rads have an optional bleeder you don't need them expensive disconnects. It's assuring that you can access them through the case. So be prepared to Drill 3/4" holes in the case to bleed and top off your Water cooled PC. Just carefully roll the case over to rid the Bubbles and not disconnect PSU power lines.

I'm a sick PC Puppy and tired of editing this post.
