Yeah it's a bit too expensive for most people's taste but overall how would you people rate it? I think it has a nice airflow assuming you get the connectors necessary to power all the fans.

So uhh, does like no one own this case? Was thinking of getting it from Tiger with the Ultra X3 1000 watt PSU and using those for any system upgrades for a while.

I don't know what you're talking about, but I love my 830 & 832...I would highly recommend both of them for any desktop application. Plenty of room to work with & room for growth. Great cases!

dibs right behind n7 for the $10 830. I don't patricularly like the looks or airlow of the case but, for $10 I'll play around with one.

IMHO on the new stackers is that they're the epitome of brute force cooling. Just throw tons of air at your components and they'll be cool. In thoery it's not ideal but, in practice they work pretty well.

Check over in PSU's about the X3, I know most of ultras power supplies are sub-par but, I remember something about either the X2 or the X3 being pretty darn good.

Wow my system must be a big POS then. Stacker 830 with 1.6kW X3. Hasn't blown up.

The panels can be a PITA to put on and the case creaks but I have to tie things down here and everything else creaks so what the creak?

"Stacker Slacker" and proud of it! The computer is more of a tool than a toy and so far the 830 has held up. Even protected my parts when I left it untied and it got thrown on the floor from a wave. Front part cracked and one side panel creeced in but no damage to internal parts! That was with a Tuniq tower on an FX60.

My current box with 12HDD in it is extremely front heavy and I think if it took a dive to the floor some serious damage would be done.

Overall I think the stacker is a great case. I have stacker 832 myself and loved it..

Pros:
tons of fans
tons of rooms to work with
case layout carefully thought of
nice screwless front panels
great airfow
nice usb locations
GREAT side panels with 4 x 120mm fan slots

Cons:
case materials "feels" cheap. the body of case feels and can be easily bent
side panels are fragile and easily scratched / made dirty.
no screwless hard drive!!
pull out mobo tray is flimsey.... could have used a couple more screws/screwless to tighen it down

Anyway I posted the inside of my case here: http://forums.anandtech.com/me...=2158329&enterthread=y

Oh yea... I got this case for$169 - 60 rebate = $109

This case is great for $109... however I can't see myself paying $259 retail price for this case ....

I got in on the same deal for the 832, still waiting for the $60 rebate check. I paid $240 for the 830, but definitely wouldn't pay that again. I bought it when it first came out. Both cases are definitely worth $125 though.
