CoolerMaster Aquagate Mini R120 120mm CPU Water cooler

Buying used computer componets on Ebay is usually a big mistake.

Recently I made this potentially big mistake with the purchase of this CPU cooler.

The design of this CPU cooler appears to be solid, and the unit I purchased has worked well, so far.

Any comments about the pros and cons about this particular CPU cooling unit would be appreciated.

Welcome to AT first of all.

Secondly, any of the pre-built water cooling set-ups like that one and many others are generally inferior to high end heatsinks and roughly the same cost. I really doubt that it can cool much if any better than a heatsink like the Ultima 90, the xigmatek hdt-sd964 and probably not as well as the tuniq tower, the TRUE or the xigmatek HDT-s1284, sorry.

Thank you for the information. Unfortunately I just upgraded my system and regret not having taken more time in reviewing comments and asking advice from the people participating at the Anandtech form.

Hopefully my choice of an Abit IP35 Pro motherboard, a Nvidia 8800GT video card and a Intel Q6600 based upon current costs will have been better for the cost range of upgrades selected.
