This is probably one of the best cases on the market today. The Cosmos 1000 has received rave reviews since it's launch a few months ago. I personally picked one up a few months ago and paid almost double this price. Fantastic deal.

Coolermaster Cosmos 1000 $139

There are sophisticated Lian Li's to your everyday Antecs... But this case is something else, the construction, design and materials are oozing with quality. I was at the Fry's other day and I spent over 10 minutes inspecting the case.

I have been wanting to change my Antec _180B case for some time. The plastic screw holes on the side doors keep cracking on me. For such a nice case, why did they (Antec) make the side frames in plastic., is something I don't understand.

I hear a lot of good thing about this CM Cosmos. So I got this thanks to the OP and your guys feedback.

Been looking for a good case for a while but the prices always scare me away. I finally pulled the trigger on this one. I should have bought 2.

Thanks OP

Buy one and you will be blown away with the amazing details and quality of this case. As a bonus, after six months of ownership; you will be ripped like Charles Atlas and featured on the cover of Muscle Magazine. I can almost Guarantee it.

They sure did and it happened with in the last hour, from $169 to $199 (before rebate). Deal may possibly be dead.

perfect case, aside from lack of hard drive cooling. Call me old fashioned but I want a fan directly blowing air onto my HD's. This case does allow a fan over the HDD bays but it's either too slow or I believe it actually pulls air rather than pushes over the HDD's. Everything else is great. I actually felt around the entire case to find a sharp edge to cut myself with and I had no luck.

I guess you have not seen the google study of heat and hard drive reliability. They found hotter drives had lower failure rates when compared to drives that were kept cool.

Time to stick a heater near the hard drive bays.

But don't let them get too hot, the report says the reliablity trend will reverse.

You can find various reviews that will show pictures. There are slots for running power cables and ties for all cables. Since the HDD bays all face sideways, any sata and power cables are hidden. YOu can hide every bit of extra cabling somewhere. The one problem I ran into stems from that fact my ultra x3 PSU's CPU cable is rather short so I couldn't use the cabling slots. Even the motherboardpower cable is stretched tight. Another potential problem, but one I didn't have, is closing the right side panel when you have alot of wires running along there. Some people have complained of this, it shuts just fine for me.

Wire management is excellant and has special areas behind the motherboard for power cables.

That is not a problem for PC Power and Cooling users.

Hey everyone,

I bought this case around the end of November and am in the process of building my system in it. It's very nice! The only complaint is that the right panel door (the one behind the HDDs) doesn't always want to latch, even when the case is emtpy. When I added the HDDs, the power cables added to the problem by sticking out and bumping up against the door. Anyway, has anyone else had this problem? I seem to recall reading about it here somewhere, but I can't remember where.

Thanks!

Call Coolermaster and ask for a replacement parts or support. Alternatively, you can use the 3.5 or 5.25 inch drive bays.

CompUSA has this case for 30% off. I think the price was $139.99 while going out of business inventories last.

The Cosmos 1000 is a HUGE and heavy case. But it's so cool that i haven't brought myself to mount any parts in it yet.
Installing my current parts seems wrong somehow. It deserves a 100% fresh build.

BTW, I snagged mine for $90 shipped after rebate.

Such a great case and very few negatives to nit pick at. Overall, It's a 98% grade A case. Only more aluminum, less steel, an optional solid cover for the top fan mount, and front panel buttons would make this better. My cats like to walk on them while the PC is in use.
