replace all of your 80mm fans with Panaflo L1As. I hear coolermasters are decently quiet, but not as quiet as the panaflos. Also, thermaltake's fan you want for exhaust isnt very good i hear.

How do u mod it? 120 mm fan? well i ve look into the fan controller and thinking about this Vantec Nexus NXP-205 3.5" Fan Controller (Black).
Any other option or variation? Im thinking about 80mm fan for now . 3 LED fans one side , 2 for the front.

Coolermaster Rifle bearing that Newegg.com has is the quietest LED fans i think.

I strongly urge you to not get the thermalrake exhaust. THey are not quiet. They are around 34 db at best. THey lie on their specs.

yea probably are. vantec speed controller will let you adjust to perfect noise level. coolermasters are bright and quiet. which is better then lowering rpm of louder led fans.. cuz leds dim as u drop rpm with controller.

your case only does 80mm, so don't bother with 120mm.

First of all im not doing any overclocking.

This are my specs

INTEL D875PBZ MOTHERBOARD
INTEL PENTIUM 4 3.0GHZ 512K L2 CACHE 800MHZ FSB
1024 MB DDR PC3200
WESTERN DIGITAL RAPTOR 74GB 8MB CACHE HD
Maxtor 250GB 8MB Cache HD
ATI RADEON 9800 PRO 128MB DDR
16X DVD-ROM Samsung
SOUNDBLASTER AUDIGY 2 6.1
420 WATT POWER SUPPLY Antec
PLEXTOR PLEXWRITER 48/24/48 CD-RW BLACK

The fan controller i need it because i can lower the noise of the fan.
So far i have look into Silverstone Eudemon SST-FP52 , Vantec Nexus NXP-205 and Zalman ZM - MFC 1.

I still in the decision of getting a fan controller or just change the LED lights.

get the coolermaster fans
then if not quiet enough, get fan controller
vantecs come with cable adaptors and such. course with simple crimping tool and butt connectors u can do without most. several fans can be on one knob.

That fanbus has a bad design that produces an annoying buzzing sound. Search google for "vantec nexus buzzing".

1. Coolermaster lies about their specs, I have 5 of those Blue LED fans (in an Antec 1080 AMG), and they are loud at full voltage... like someone mentioned, get Panaflo L1As or get some Zalman 80mm fans... and then buy some cold cathodes.

2. Vantec fan controllers make annoying buzzing noises, get the Zalman fan controller (26.99 shipped @ Newegg), and remove the faceplate and spray paint to the color of your liking (otherwise it looks ugly IMO)

The loudest thing in your system is probably your hard drives.

Getting quieter fans will help, but in the end your HDs will be the bigger issue.

My 74Gb Raptor is making some 'crakling sound'. I thought about using hard disk cooler like Zalman ZM-2HC2 but other cheap alternative i may experiment with it first. For instance rubber washer or grommet.

Has anyone tried this alternative before?

The rubber washer thing has a minimal effect. It does work a bit, but plan on your HD still being loud. You'd have similar results if you just made the screws as tight as they would go, so there is almost no room for the thing to vibrate.
