Cooling Experiment Number 2

I am very happy with the modifications I did to my first Enlight 7237. The modification bug has gotten to me again and im ready to do another.

Here is what im thinking of doing starting with my favorite case the 7237 (of course).

The noise the fans will make really doesn't bother me.

Mouting a YS Tech 120mm High Output fan in the front of the case (intake). The fan draws in a whopping 131.5 cfm and generates a deafening 45.0 Dba. I plan to put a Sunon High Output 92mm below the power supply (exhaust) and one in the cast top (exhaust). The 92mm H.O. is 50 cfm and 35Dba.

I plan to get a Digital Doc 5. I would like to add a Sunon 92mm H.O. on the left right side of the case towards the bottm (intake) and another more towards the top by my Socket A CPU (exhaust). These two fans will be controlled by by the Digital Doc 5 to come on when the CPU reaches a certain temperature.

Any input or suggestions appreciated.

Oh yeah I realize this is probably WAY overkill but it sure is fun aint it......

OMG Man!
I have a 120mm YS Tech in the front my q500 and a Sunon regualr 3pin in the back behind the CPU.
And man, I'd be DEAF without having my fan switch for the YS Tech
switches between low (about 6v), off and 12v...I only leave it on 12v when I leave the house :Q

I was thinking about putting those fans not attached to the Digital Doc 5 on a switch to control the voltage.

Ok, I have a couple suggestions... maybe cut a circle out of the bezel, so that 120mm fan can get some breathing room. Even an 80mm-sized hole with a grille over it would help you get the wild airflow you want. And in the exhaust airstream of the top blowhole, see if you can get it to suspend a ball of some kind, that would look really trick. Maybe a ping-pong ball?

Also, how about a voltage switch to run some/all of the big fans at 7 volts if desired?

It soudns good... A bit much, but should cool well.

The only question would be if you're going beyond what's necessary... cooling beyond hte necessary point.

Im sure it is way beyond but it will be fun. I like the floating ball idea, what if I put up a web cam on the ping pong ball.... HE HE

If you want col, then put your comp in the freezer. Ral quiet, real cold and you may even have a version of an internet appliance!!
