I recently built a new computer and am having some issues with cooling. I am using
the thermaltake soprano vb1000bws case. My motherboard is the ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe NF570SLI AM2. I am using the 7950 gx2 vid card, which not only is HUGE (its the dual core), but im assuming also puts out alot of heat. My temperatures right now are 50 C CPU, 58 C Motherboard which is much to high for my liking. There are several things I plan on doing to improve the issue. One is order more powerful fans as I am currently using the factory ones. The case has a front and back 120 mm , and a side 92 mm. I was also thinking about getting a slot outtake fan to go right under the video card. Also I need to do some tidying up on my case, such as getting a round IDE cable and using some wire wrap as I have read that this increases airflow. I have a feeling that these measures, however, are not going to get my system down to what I would like it to be at. What are some additional things I can do, or some tips to furthur reduce my temperature. I was thinking possibly better heatsinks for my vid card and CPU? Also I have read that temperature could be affected by the placing of the heat sensor on the motherboard, so perhaps the sensor is right by the enermous 7950 I have? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
