So i am upgrading my rig and throwing in a i7 920+Gigbayte X58 UDR and im wondering for a cooler that will actually fit this case.

I cannot easily try different fans because i do not live in the states and anything would be flown here to costa rica.

i am going to be in the states from july 17-to aug 7.

i would like to get as well differents fans for my smilodon case because the stock ones ive been running for two years are loud.

any input/flaming/advice would be appreciated

what is the rear fan on your case?

if its a 120mm fan, u can fit almost any sink inside it.

As for your fans, i would recomend u just pick up a bunch of yate loons. If you really want to spend money, the scythe s-flex and zalman F3's are excellent fans.

What is you want to change...
The Heatsink and Cooler for your Processor? or The fans within your case? or Is it both?

Also, I'm also confused on why your Raidmax Smilodon have 80mm and not 120mm fans...

There should be 4 fans within the case, 1x 120mm for the rear exhaust, 1x 120mm for front intake, and 2x 80mm side panel fans.

Are you sure your talking about the right case?
This is your case right...?

my case has a 80mm fan on the back instead of that 120mm on the newegg pics.

finding a different case is kinda pain in the...
most "normal" medium cases that you see online for 100 go for 250 here...
i paid around 100$ for that smilodon back in 2007.

i can deal with a regular cooler for the i7 , choosing a different case would need some serious travel arrangements.

I don't know what part of the States you're going to be in, but if you could go to a Fry's B & M, perhaps you could pick up an Antec 300 pretty reasonable.
I've got the same mb & cpu housed in a LL V1000B & i'm using a Noctua NH-U12P w/o problems. My case is slightly modified with a side panel fan & blowhole fan...both of which are Scythe's (can't remember the exact model), but the Y-L's are very good fans too.
