Cop fired for racing motorcyle on video

I actually just today saw the update to the story out of Maryland last year where the cop runs up behind a black guy, surprise pistol whips him, and discharges his weapon in the process. Cop lies in official report that guy went for his gun and that's what caused the gun to go off - cop prosecuted, not guilty of all charges.

Not sure I want to live in this world anymore.

that's why I live in my own world. I don't watch the news, don't read the paper. This place is the only place I see anything news related. I work, take care of my family and don't bother anyone. Its a bubble but its a bubble all my own.

Finally watched OP's video. You know, as an ardent critic of the police force, I find it misguided that THAT is what gets an officer released from duty, but gross abuse of power gets swept under the rug. That was barely even a race, I think they accelerated to all of 40 mph. Didn't look all that aggressive.

Some things are just better off left alone.

You don't find it a problem that a cop lied on an official police report?

I don't know if every state has this law but in CA you can be cited for exhibition of speed even if you remained below the speed limit the whole time.

I don't think accelerating quickly is enough for that.. I've only ever heard of burnouts getting you that type of ticket.
