I really do hope that some of your online personas are not a reflection of who you are in real life. It really surprises me that so many of you fall into the "cops are bad" or "cops are heroes" camps - it's actually quite frightening. Anyone defending this guy simply because he was "trolled" or using this guy as an example to attack all other cops is really demonstrating a lack of critical thought/intelligence - and since you're posting it online, you're preserving the evidence of your ineptitude for generations to come.
Not sure who you are saying is on the "all cops are heros" side of this, but I didn't say he was a hero for anything like this. I said he probably should not have lost his job and I said that without having seen the video.
The thing is, I am one who has actually kicked a passenger out of his car to pick up their litter. More than once, actually. I feel very strongly about it, and yet I still don't feel that he should have lost his job. All the people screaming that cops aren't above the law need to honestly ask themselves when someone they know was last fined in a similar situation (tossing something out the window). Now, assuming you can even think of an incident, was that person fired from their job? No? Then police ARE held to a higher standard! Imagine that. You have nothing to complain about here. Move along. Stop talking about flash bangs in cribs and killing cops and all that because it isn't relevant. This cop already got the short end of the stick even if you think he deserved it.
