Cool deal, been looking for one of these for my HT PC (which I haven't built yet but I'll get around to it).

Bought this at PC Club about 5 months ago for about for $28. Ahh well its OOS now so it's okay . It's pretty good even for infrared. Might not work in another room, but heck who cares; you can't even see the monitor from another room. It really deosn't need line-of-sight either. It's overall a very good deal and I use it as my primary keyboard too. Funny is how it appears to be made by Lite-On . At least that's the company it says on the stickcer on the bottom .

My roommate got one of those cordless keyboards in the keyboard/mouse package and it's given him nothing but trouble... maybe he should look at this one

These appear to be in stock now. Looks just like the PC Concepts Airboard that I paid $36 for, used on Ebay.
They were going for a lot more at the time, so I thought I got lucky!!!
Shoulda waited 6 months I guess.

thanks, just got 1

did a research on the os it supports. it seems like it does support all the newer windows

can't wait to replace my intel wireless keyboard/mouse combo. what a POS product, the mouse eats battery like it's the last meal, and it only supports win98. the worse is that the product is so unreliable, you never know when the damn thing is going to work or not. thank god i only paid $10 for the stupid package.

hopefully this product is better than the intels. anyone had experience with this product working with win xp?

Wei,

I have the Intel set as well. I know that the mouse eats batteries like WOW, but everything else seems to be ok. There are drivers for XP and 2000 for this Intel set. Hope this helps. I connect my computer with the Intel Base Station and this 2.4GHz Wireless Link to my TV upstairs, and the KB and Game controllers work to navigate DIVX. Like I said, the mouse eats a lot of batteries, but the game controllers do not. Then again I use rechargeable NiMH batteries.

Thanks guys. Just picked one up for my HomeTheater PC I just put together. It looks like this uses the serial port for the mouse portion? This was just what I was looking for in an inexpensive all in one wireless unit.

Thanks!

Thanks, I just picked one up.. I've been wanting to get some sort of wireless keyboard/mouse/remote/anything to control my TV-out computer for months, and someone just spilled soda on my regular keyboard the other day so I happened to be in the market for a wireless keyboard right now. $18 sure beats the $20-70 I've been seeing for radio (which doesn't give me the range i need) keyboards in local stores.

I also went through Ebates for an extra 3% off (woohoo, saved $0.54!)

hey mark, thanks for the tip...

i tried the driver before, and it doesn't really work for my system. I'm not sure why. It works sometimes, but majority of the time it doesn't work. from the site it clearly stated that it's a beta driver, and it has been that way for months. i kept hoping that intel would finally release a working driver for xp but now i already gave up my hope.

i'm using it for my divx/mp3 box w/ a tv out adaptor in my living room, so i don't really use it on a daily basis. however, everytime i feel like using it, the damn intel wireless keyboard/mouse would give me problems. it was very frustrating. i think part of the reason why i don't use it as much was because i never knew if the wireless set would work or not.

like i said, i already decided to replaced it after struggled w/ it for so long, but couldn't justify spending 70+ for another set. i think this keyboard w/ built-in mouse will be a perfect fit for something like my divx/mp3 box in my living room. since mouse function is not so critical and i don't need to place the mouse on a scrollable surface to use it.

i'll let you guys know how it turned out.

This keyboard does NOT work with WinXP and the Abit BH6 mobo!
Any other mobo, it works fine. Go figure.

Did anyone happen to grab two of these? I've been looking for a deal on one of these for about 3 years. If anyone wants to sell an extra, please let me know. Thanks.

i ordered one of those remote mice as well, main goal would be to only have that and forget about the keyboard since it has programmable buttons. we'll see how well it works, it should arrive next week!

Dammit, I'm really wanting one of these! Get back instock!

btw: Does the mouse require a special driver or something, I've notice a coupel people mnetion it... I would have thought it used a generic serial driver (since it uses the serial port!).... Is this not true?

EDIT: Just found the drivers for this keyboard/mouse combo at the manufacturer's site for 95/98/2000/XP:
