I just built a system today with the following-
core 2 duo e6300
intel dg965wh motherboard
2x512mb pny RAM ddr2 533
samsung 160gb hdd
samsung dvd writer
cooler master extreme power 600w psu
cooler master centurion case
so anyway i had some trouble getting it going, the cpu fan would start for a fraction of a second, and that was all. I had to jump a connector on the board(case open pins) to get it to start up, but once i did that all was well. windows installed fine, and i shut it down. came back just now, same problem, cpu and psu fan just barely spin, then nothing happens. i stripped it down to 1 stick RAM, unplugged dvd, hdd, etc, still same problem. kind of acts like the board is shoted out, but i checked underneath for screw, coins, bullets etc, nothing there. the psu worked fine in another system.
still, i think it is either the psu or motherboard, leaning towards board. this psu was used temporarily in another system without issues. any ideas?
