The price is correct now but it shows as the i5 2500 not the 2500k. Still a heck of a deal. If I did not just but the i5 and the ASUS P8P67 I would be all over this.

I just placed another one, it checks out as i5 2500k. I'll probably cancel the earlier one.

Damn, damn, damn! I just can't get a break.

Yesterday I went over there (mind you guys, a near 140 mile round trip with tolls) and bought a case and got a discount off my previously purchased bundle because the 2500K and P8P67 Pro was combo'd for $20 off.

I get home and notice an email with a 10% off coupon for the case, with a time stamp of right when I left my house.

Now another $20 off the combo.

Can I phone in for a price adjustment?

yeah the top of the page states just 2500 and for $249.99 (before discount) and lower down on the page it states 2500K for $249.99 (again before discount)

When you add the bundle to cart it shows as the 2500K

Yea; I ended up with a msi g65 and 2500K for around 335 which on par with this deal; not really sure which is better between the two motherboards. Microcenter prices are really quite sweet here (hope they are making a profit). Now if they would just offer a gtx 460 or hd6850 for $100.

Since I saw the email early this morning and thought it was just the i5 2500 and P8P67 Non Pro, I quickly disregarded it. I'm glad I checked here again in the morning, I ordered the combo and will pick it up today. Now, if I could just get them to honor my hold from last Saturday on the 1tb combo and combine it with this I would be golden.

This is Micro Center's way of saying, "Happy Earth Day~!"

What makes this board so great to justify the price? Essentially you're paying $150 for the board, since you can buy the processor, by itself, for $180.

Their listed prices are quite misleading though... That cpu is worth 200, not 250 and the mobo can by had for 180, not 230!

So you are saving ~50 with this deal, def still nice but its certainly not the $150 discount that they are advertising it as.

no, $249.99 is the MSRP

and its not "worth 200", regular going rate online is $225, again, this is the 2500K, not the 2500.

Which one is better? The Gigabyte for $110 (After Rebate) or the Asus P67 for $159?

Hard to resist. I suppose I can just walk in the store and all these deals apply, right? Don't have to order online and then pickup?

Processor is normally $180 at microcenter, which is a steal, so the board will cost you $150 with the combo. Elsewhere the board goes for 175-185, so you're saving a little money, but after taxes ($20) you're paying $350 at microcenter compared to $365-$375 if you were to buy the processor at MC and the board elsewhere.

It has an Intel NIC and supports SLI.

Depends, are you counting it as MSRP or online pricing? Try getting a 2500K brand new online for $200.

Unfortunate for us CA'ers most of the better deals involve companies located in CA so the sales tax is a moot point. In return for this we get a free upgrade to overnight shipping with UPS or Fedex ground most of the time

Another way we recoup the sales tax is if we gotta rma something as most companies are based in CA also. As in less shipping cost and quicker turn around times.

Once in awhile I'll purchase something outa state but it's pretty much gotta be with a coupon, free shipping and enough savings to outway the time it takes to get to me

Hmm....Me thinks it's about time to play around with the 2500K combo about now. Just got done downgrading the old ladies power supply so I can do a test boot without pulling my rig apart. Not like she needed the Antec TP-550 in her mildly overclocked i3 rig anyways!

They wouldn't honor my reservation of the 2500k and 1TB from earlier this week, which I didn't figure but had to ask. They also had an open box P8P67 Pro for $151 which I asked if they would knock the $40 off for the combo and they said they could do $20-25 at most. I'm gonna wait till next week when my 6950 arrives to put it all together.

Picked one up for $358 total. Now gotta figure out what to do with it.

Just finished setting up a mini-itx rig:
Specs:
Antec ISK 300-150 mini-itx case
Gigabyte H67N-USB3-B3 ($25 New user newegg coupon)
Intel i5 2500k (from last weeks 1TB HD + i5 2500k deal)
2x4GB Corsair XMS3 (another hot deal)
1x64GB SF-1200 Based SSD (hot deal)
1x500GB 2.5" platter (pending)
1x 5.25" slim DVD-RW (pending)
Internal 150W PSU (included with case)

The motherboard is the worst to pair with this case (all the headers i.e. sata, power, front panel, etc. are right next to the lone exhaust fan in the case), I have yet to play with undervolting the CPU, but stock everything (stock thermal paste with stock HSF and stock single exhaust) my temps reached as high as 80 with Prime95 and power draw never passed the 123 Watts at the wall (using the P3 Kill-A-Watt) and normal usage shows about 40 or so watts with light load (browsers with flash and the like, total idle is about 34 watts. I will get a chance to play with it tomorrow to see if I can bring the VCore down a bit, but the case is tiny, it fits vertically in the CD Tower Rack on my desk. It is very very snappy (even with a lone Kingston SSD, which I will most likely upgrade to an Intel 510 series), and fairly quiet (I do not need extreme silence).

I pondered on this but decided against it.
The nearest MC to me is a little over 3 hrs. away. I'd have to bribe the kid to go get it & when I take that into consideration, I might as well get it @ NE for ~$30 more.
The weather's going to be nasty here most of the week anyhow, so just another excuse.

F**king Microcenter. The online price is not the same as what they charge for the MOBO in the store. If you buy it in the store, it's $170, not $150. I got royally screwed cause I didn't order online, and when I called they said the price in the paper ad and computer system in the store was $170.

Edit: I called back, and they said that even if you order it online for that price, you will actually be charged the other $20 when you pick it up. Does anyone know their policy's on returning brand new motherboards? I know the policy says exchange only, but I'm guessing that's based on it being opened and used.

Don't mean to rain on your parade or anything but MC sells the board for $190 - it's only $150 if you got it with the processor in the bundle. So, if you got it for $170 without the processor you got a pretty good deal!
MC Return Policy said:
Special buy or clearance items are not returnable unless otherwise indicated on the label attached to the product. Service parts, motherboards and processors may only be exchanged, and only if defective, within 30 days of purchase if in "like-new" condition. Labor, installation services and any shipping charges are non-refundable.

No, I did get it with the bundle. That is my whole issue.
