I7 is the superior CPU and therefore performs best on CPU tests, which is why Intel use the CPU portion of the original benchie as the basis for their claim. That Graphics play a major part for gamers should be obvious to all.

What our nVidia friend may not have properly relayed, is that the i7 and X58 chipset also provide superior scaling in multi GPU settings:

I7 is hands down the best cpu period. Im sorry you AMD fans can try to class your AMD with it, when you unleash an i7, its GAME OVERS! PERIOD! No Re, GG, all your bases belong to us scenario.

Id like to say Nvidia makes the best video cards far better then AMD/ATI if you can afford it.

Nvidia cards are expensive as heck, but the drivers and game handling is far better then Anything ATI can dream for.

Nvidia is stupid saying the cpu isnt important, thats like saying the clutch isnt important on a manual stick shift.

Even Game consoles use a form of cpu. If Nvidia wants to be badass, they should make a game system and go against PS3 and Xbox360 to show us that the CPU really isnt that important.

But guess what, the PS3 is a cell processor, while the Xbox360 is a power PC. Wouldnt you think the game consoles would be processorless, yet they all have one.

lol whatever dude. You enjoy your i7 at 800x600 where it outruns PhenomII. I'll concede that useless setting at enjoy my PhenomII at a resolution I play at. Where as everyone knows that doesn't have i7 in their sig, AMD's platform is the product of choice. So while i7 has a higher IPC, the platform and infrastructure must not be as efficient as AMD's. Maybe you can explain why i7 falls behind at higher resolution, or maybe you would rather just slough if off again. BTW, that is exactly what Intel said about i7 being as good a second GPU.
