Core Temp, Real Temp, SpeedFan: Which is correct?

Just installed my new ASUS P5Q-E and E8500. Downloaded latest versions of these three temp programs. They are all about 5 degrees celcius apart

Core Temp: 51

Real Temp: 41

Speedfan: 46

I would probably go with asus' pcprobe. One would hope that they know...

Is that the new 8500? e0 stepping?

RealTemp. The CPU doesn't output it's temperature directly, it puts out the difference between its current temp and its maximum temp. But Intel doesn't say what the maximum temp is, which is why different programs give different results. RealTemp is generally considered to be the most accurate, they did some tests to find out where the maximum temperature is based on where the CPu starts throttling.

Guess not. But soon - at least the 8600.
