that is really pathetic and if the does really breakout in those communities they will be less likely to be believed. it's just stupid, but then police are not known for intelligence.

High School teacher I had was a semi retired lawyer, if I remember correctly he worked as a defender, public defender and he worked as a prosecutor for the state over his career.
I remember him saying Police are really good guys and like all of us they will take short cuts at work whenever possible.
Best not to let police get lazy and make searches or whatever easier for them.

Part of my point. We know the President gets many ideas from video and he appears to like light fiction and tough guy scenes.

No I do not think the President would bomb somewhere because of the virus. He may suggest it as a trial balloon but he’d be shot down.
And yes I realize that is concerning.

We need a wall to keep this foreign virus out. Corona-virus? Sounds Mexican. Very bad hombres.

Donald J Trump - The weak man's idea of a strong man, the poor man's idea of a rich man, and the stupid man's idea of a smart man.

Guys, don't worry. We just need a miracle and everything will be alright. Trump and Pence are totally on it.

"It's going to disappear. One day it's like a miracle, it will disappear," Trump said at the White House Thursday as the virus marched across Asia and Europe after US officials said the US should brace for severe disruption to everyday life.
The President also warned that things could "get worse before it gets better," but he added it could "maybe go away. We'll see what happens. Nobody really knows."

Appears that is what happened with the use a nuke to stop a hurricane
It is worth pointing out that Trump has been working at removing anyone that says no to him. Every time we here something like this we soon here that the 'voice of reason' in the room has been asked to resign because they are 'not onboard with the Trump agenda' or some similar message, which obviously means 'said no to Trump'.

The real problem I see here is that the Administration has decided that it is more important that the information we get is in line with the Party's message than the need of the people.

like everything else with this admin, they get the best incompetence that money can buy.

I think what's killing morale at hhs is telling them not to tell the truth.

I think the Coronavirus has been treated very unfairly. I think the doctors with their "medical education" should recuse themselves from weighing in on treatment decisions. I am hereby awarding the Presidentual Medal of Freedom to the Coronavirus. Covfefe

Mick Mulvaney's answer to calming the stock market. Bury your head in the sand. Don't listen to information. They are still trying to say COVID-19 is no worse then the flu. Hey asshole, your own NIH Director said this is 20x more fatal then the flu. He said that while on stage with your boss.

Mike Pence is heading to Florida to fundraise for Trump, DeSantis and Florida GOP--clearly he's already taken care of the coronavirus and moved on to more pressing concerns (staying in power.)

That shows how much they really care. Meanwhile healthcare workers are being sent out in the field without protective gear and training.

Speaking of DeSantis, Florida GOP is already ramping up to cover up coronavirus testing data.
Florida won’t release data on coronavirus testing
DeSantis, speaking to reporters, wouldn’t say whether anyone in Florida has been tested for the virus, citing a state law that protects the identity of people under epidemiological investigation.

“I actually wanted to give all the numbers,” DeSantis said. “But they actually pointed me to the regulation in the statute that says you can’t.”

DeSantis said he is taking his cues on the reading of the law from Surgeon General Scott Rivkees, Florida’s health secretary, who said the coronavirus hasn’t risen yet to a public health crisis.

“At the present time, we don’t have community spread in Florida, we don’t have coronavirus in Florida. So, the law dictates that we protect the confidentiality of individuals,” Rivkees said Thursday. “If those circumstances change, then we absolutely will make the public informed.”

The state’s patient-protection law has three exemptions for when the public’s health is at risk — when a disease is highly infectious, when there’s a potential for further outbreaks, or when the state has been unable to locate or identify people involved in the case.

Probably trying to protect the state's tourism industry. I'd not be in a hurry to travel to Florida with Republican cover up mentality applied to epidemics.

Putting Mike Pence as the point man on the crisis already tells us that the response to the outbreak is going to be politicized. Azar will say and do as he's told, which will be within the parameters of what is deemed to be in the best political interests of the president.

Fortunately, there are hundreds of state and local departments of health, hospitals that aren't afraid to communicate with the public, and a free press that will ignore whatever Trump says and refuse to cover up the epidemic. And if the outbreak is bad enough, trying to use CDC as a spin machine would backfire bigly. Unfortunately, it would also destroy the credibility of a valuable public health institution, and that's something we don't get back right away.

The bolded part might actually be the plan when it comes to the Reich.

Oh really RIck? The numbers can be released without identifying individuals.

Ole Mike would know - if there was ever an expert qualified to speak on the intricacies of the subject of sucking, it is him.
