I have gloves, masks, and enough food to last me six months without going out. I also have a shovel, a shotgun, and 5 acres. Do not trifle with me.
Since I am 52 and have no co-morbidities I am not all that worried for my own health. My chance of death is probably well under 1% and I have excellent healthcare coverage. For 80-85% this virus is a mild cold or no symptoms at all. But for the other 20% it is far worse and will end up being 20 times worse than the flu if it becomes epidemic and breaks out of containment.
The death rate for the elderly is as high as 14%. This will be devastating for our healthcare system, and hearts. Imagine 30-60% of the US loses an elderly family member due to this virus. Holy shit that is a huge toll.
And without a decon chamber, all the gloves and masks in the world are kinda useless in untrained hands.
