my signature is:

note the two hyphens? THEY'RE SIGNIFICANT. USE THEM.

i don't say "regards", "best", "thanks", or any other waste of space like that. if someone is butthurt because i didn't, then they can feel free to impale themselves on a rusty fencepost.

hm that's a pretty good idea.

Best regards, or Regards,

I use a less formal Thanks, or just my first name with co-workers and internal e-mails.

Ditto

auto-signature:

Name
Title/Department
Phone Number + ext

when appropriate, I'll sign it "Thanks,". otherwise, no closing and just go straight from the email body to my auto signature with a couple line breaks.

I thought you were looking for something formal.

If not, start your letters, yo bitches, and end with word out.

Name

Phone number

What the email is about determines whether I put anything else in there (informational, a request, etc)

Putting the email address in the signature is a stupid waste of space because I just sent the email and it is right there at the top. If you can't figure that out you shouldn't be using email

Best Regards,

amish

I have an unhealty annoyance when peeople use "Warm Regards". why not luke-warm, piss warm, or coffee-that-sat-out-for-30-minutes warm? that's basically what your telling me with your mediocre warm regard.
