Ain't it grand? Rich people are doing better than ever with the top 1% having doubled their share of national income since 1980, going from 8.5% to 19%. So let's give 'em some big fat tax cuts as a bonus for winning the top down class warfare they've waged since Reagan. It really is a form of looting.

RAISING bottom tax rate from 10 to 12
Going from 7 tax brackets to 3 **
Doubling standard deduction
Removing head of household filing status
Removing individual deductions (i.e. no more claiming your kids, yourself, etc. for a deduction)
Removing mortgage and state/local tax deductions
Repeal Estate tax
Repeal alternative minimum tax

This has all the writing of making it confusing to slip a tax raise on the lower and middle classes without them even knowing it while cutting massively the taxes for those at the top.

** This one has the potential to really kick lower and middle class people depending on the bracket rates and where they stop / start.

Unfortunately while a couple of GoP senators had the sense to know that their states needed Obamacare, tax cuts for the rich and more spending for the military contractors is the one thing in which the whole party moves in lock step. The bad news for obamacare is that with spending essential to its functioning likely to be pulled out from under it, they will engineer its failure. And when it goes they'll tell you I told you so and conservatives will believe it.

Certainly it will be another masterfully crafted package written to confuse the layman in finely woven legalese that really benefits the richest segment of our population. Trump and the GOP always say that they're doing things to help the working people but when you pull out the magnifying glass and read the fine print its anything but.
