Hello folks.

I'm having a torrid time on deciding what colour in which to buy the Corsair 600T.

I wonder if anyone has any opinions on it.

Here is what I'm looking at:

* Corsair 600T White ("Special Edition") (NewEgg) (Amazon)
* Corsair 600T Silver (NewEgg) (Amazon)

At first, I was set on the white, but the silver (more like gun-metal grey) is really gowing on me. I can see a stealthy build working well in the silver.

I also read a while ago that the White version's (and presumably the Silver version's) fans were an improvement on those in the original model (in Black, or "graphite"), here (paragraphs 4 and 5). That said, there's a possibility that all the different versions are now shipping with the updated fans.

Any opinions are most welcome.

Personally, I like the white case more based upon aesthetics. However, if I was buying on aesthetics alone I would want the rest of my components to have similar aesthetics. I also wouldn't be spending over $160 on a Mid-Tower Case, but that's just me.

I believe that Newegg sells/ships all of the Corsair 600T models with the updated fans; not sure about Amazon.

I built a few computers for friends with this case, and while it is attractive, there are much better cases for the money.

It's very bulky for the actually usable space

I have a 600T SE white -- the case is HUGE which has its pros and cons but I love the largeness and open workspace for upgrading.

That said I have had the following issues which I believe are common to this case:

1) the fan controller completely died for the front fan -- didn't notice until the LEDs weren't on in the front fan and had to wind up connecting the fan to the controller on the mobo -- no big issue as fan controller didn't do much anyways
2) the top fan now spins off balance for some reason at times and will make an annoying tick-tick-tick noise. i have even tried cleaning the heck out of the fan blades to no avail -- likely just bearings going?

so you may want to think twice tho i don't regret the purchase as i love the large size and easy access pop off panel. also feels quite solid and sturdy -- no flimsy crap or illfitting pieces. temps are also great and no other issues besides the fans/controller.

I'll go with the white. It just has more contrast to the black accents. Another possible choice would be the Corsair 650D.

also -- not truly an 'issue' but worth mentioning, when the case heats up it can often make 'ticking' noises as it expands. you'll experience this when say your computing has been idling and then you start gaming and the inside of the case heats up. a little worrisome when you first hear it but just a minor issue. thought id mention it as well.

Hello there,

which case are you talking about? I'm looking for a smaller alternative to my HAF932 which still nearly cools as good. In addition it should have a fan controller and dust filters.

Hello folks.

I'm having a torrid time on deciding what colour in which to buy the Corsair 600T.

Here's what you do...
1. Obtain a quarter from your desk, pocket or mom's purse.
2. Go to secluded location with said quarter.
3. Flip quarter, allowing it to land on floor (room or forest, doesn't matter).
4. View and note side of quarter facing up.
5. Return quarter.
6. If quarter landed "Heads" up... Buy White case.
7. If quarter landed "Tails" up... Buy Silver case.

Dilemma resolved... That's what I do.

I know what you're thinking... "But what if the quarter lands on it's edge?"
In that case repeat steps 3 & 4 until it lands with one side or the other down flat.
