i can say that this power supply is quiet and provides clean power

i have it running my box which consists of the following
antec 900 case, e6600 proc, abit 650i mobo, xfx 8800gts 640mb, 2 gigs ocz ram, 1 150gb raptor, 1 320gb seagate, xfi soundcard

edit: this price is very good as i paid full price for it

I'm about to buy one of these PSU's...hows the customer service from ZZF and ClubIT? MOST of my business has gone to the Egg over the years because (in part) of their outstanding customer service and in-house warranty...BUT, $30 is $30...so IF the other 2 places are as good as the Egg, I might give them a try.

BoomerD - I've never had a problem with either one but then I haven't had any issues to take to them. From the 'buzz' I've heard, on equal $'s, I'd go with ClubIT as I've heard of a couple of problems @ ZZF.
My $0.02.... but maybe wait for more feedback.

Also, ChiefValue (Newegg's spinoff) has it for 149 - 30Rebate + free shipping: same as ZZF. Maybe you prefer them.

I've never had a problem with them and in fact a lot of people are now recommending them over the Egg due to prices and service

I have the old Seasonic S12 600W. How would this compare? If I get this one it's because I'd like to move my S12 600W to an older system. Of course I wouldn't do that if my S12 600W is still quieter =P

The Corsair is made by Seasonic...but is SUPPOSED to be a bit better quality...
Can't compare the noise levels between the 2, but the Corsair is supposed to pretty quiet.

I also frequent the egg, but I've had no problems when having to turn to clubit, which is necessary sometimes, like when trying to get a guaranteed G0 Q6600 (they're out of stock right now but keep checking back because no one else seems to guarantee G0 right now, other than maybe tankguys).

Anyway, the 5-year warranty on the 620HX and the big discount at clubit sold it for me.

Ordered a 620 today from ChiefValue, (thanks for the tip) even though ZZF dropped their price to $116.99 with free shipping. (wooo...a whole $3 wasted ) I've read too many threads about problems with ZZF's customer service, and they can't ALL be bullshit complaints. Granted, Newegg gets their share of complaints, but IME, their customer service has always been above & beyond. HOPEFULLY, ChiefValue will maintain the same standards.

Corsair is revising their PSU line-up this year. What are the chances this will be cheaper down the road? I know they just came out with a new 450w and there's a new 550w on its way. I'm hoping to snag one for even less when its 'old stock'.

compusa has already started selling antec's 850w quattro for ~$130

what do you think the chances are?

However, I was think more along the lines of 6 months (not 3-5 years) from now they may be a discontinued SKU and therefore be cheaper again.

And as far as I'm concerned, Corsair PSUs are in a completely different class than Antec PSUs.

Yeah, I got it at ZZF. It came Friday. Really nice power supply. Agree it is heavy. In the box they surround it by the most badass foam I've ever seen. Now if I only had a processor I could try it out. Waiting on a cheap quad core.
