I've always wanted to buy this, but without actually building a new computer I couldn't justify it...

However I randomly was browsing Corsair's products after reading about their new Keyboard & Mouse, and found this:

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...=430%20corsair

$49.99 - $20.00 MIR and FREE SHIPPING

I don't think I'll find a better deal than that for this..ever...

Purchased!

I thin it's been as low as $21.99 after rebate hehe. That is a great PSU for its price point.

That is for the V2, which has been as cheap as $19.99 after rebate. The original was clearanced at $14.99 or so.

PSU Arrived today Whee!

Man this thing is HEAVY! Compared to any other PSU I've lifted... That's a good sign

Beautifully wrapped cables, too

I just want to confirm, will this PSU run a GTX560ti graphics card?

According to the PSU Calculators it's OK, they come up with Minimum 350, recommended 400...

NVIDIA recommends a minimum of 500W. A 560 Ti uses 170W power max (not overclocked), so if the rest of your system uses 150W at maximum load you're looking at 64% of 500W which is pretty optimal, or 75% of 430W. In practice when gaming you'll use less. My system (with a 15% overclock on the i7 920 and the 560 Ti) uses 275W in 3DMark Vantage, 338W when stress testing in Furmark, and 432W in simultenous Furmark and Prime95 torture.

Or, a bad sign for the other PSUs you've been using. D:

It might, but you'd be better off going with the CX500. The CX430 only has around 330W +12v while the CX500 has around 408W +12v.

I guess it really depends on what other hardware he's running. If the CPU is a 65W TDP i3-2100, it'd be fine. If it's an overclocked i7 9xx, then a big no no.

Thanks again for the advice, I do appreciate it.

Ended up pulling the trigger on a Radeon HD6850 as you may have seen in my build thread... That uses ~50w less than the GT560ti, so I'm definitely safe now

CAN'T WAIT!

Fixed typo, thanks Rhezuss

I hope you meant HD6850?
If so, good move it's a nice card.
