I have noticed that you have to look carefully to see what XMS ram you are getting. They have several versions, some with lower latency timings.

Don't confuse Kingston's ValueRAM line with their performance line. From all of the reviews I've read about the Kingston HyperX series, it is on par with Corsair & Crucial.
Of course, I've NEVER had a problem with Kingston's ValueRAM either.....but I've never tried overclocking it as high as my MSI KT3 Ultra will take it.
I'll probably switch to the HyperX 512 later this week.
This is my opinion. Take it for what it's worth.
