So I purchased a H110i GTX cooler ($150) and at first it seemed to work well I was able to get these results:
6700K @ 4.5 1.3v 30-35c idle / 55-60c load
Now after about a year of owning it my temps are:
6700K @ 4.0 1.145v 35-40c idle / 65-72c load
I tried reapplying thermal paste, cleaned all the rads out with an air compressor, cleaned the whole PC of dust and debre. Problem is I can't tell if my pumps actually working or even how fast my fans are spinning because I don't have USB 2.0 headers for the link cable. My PC is exceptionally quiet like can barely hear it when its running at night. But this can't be the issue since my PC used to run a lot cooler, one time my pump actually stopped working until I unhooked it all and tapped the part the connects to the CPU (the pump itself.) Then it ran fine now this. Says my fans are spinning at 850rpm's which is kinda low but not that low, not low enuff where I'd be seeing 72c on stock.
Should I RMA? or should I find a way to use the corsair link or both? It seems like the pump might be failing... Corsair said they'd RMA this for me, but I'll be pissed if I RMA open it and its still running hot because my pump and fans are too low or something. Should I just buy a Cryorig H7 or something and RMA this and resell it for $150 as unopened?
/edit also the corsair link thing, I'd like to run this all the time if possible so I can adjust pump/fans and the logo color, but without a 2.0 header what options do I have? will I have to buy a NEW motherboard?
