So I have a dilemma. I'm going to be grabbing an 4670k+z87. I already have an H60 and now I have an H80 as well.
My secondary system will be an OC E5200. I have a 775 air cooler for it and temps won't breach 60c.
What I am planning to do is to use the 4670k as my main rig with either the H60 or H80, depending on how the 4670k behaves. I plan to maybe upgrade in 4ish years down the road to a new platform and have the 4670k act as secondary rig.
Will either the H60 or H80 last that long in storage? So maybe I down clock the 4670k and swap in the H60, or break open the H80 for the new build then?
Will the coolers still fit the sockets then? Would I be better served selling one of them? Will the process technology then even allow for overclocking?
