People expect too much from this thing as water cooling should be better than air cooling.

Do you think "Air Cooling Alternative" might be a better title? It's got water in it and it is designed to compete with air coolers, not custom water of course.

Turnkey water is what it is.
User skill level is the same as high end air for installation.

Other issues include reduced airflow over VRM and chipset coolers. Extra cooling may be required. Some boards like Asus REXIII have these coolers included but people should be reminded to watch their chipset temperatures when a cooler like this is used. Most water cooling nuts know this already.

I've had a total of six H50s in my hands and none had pump noise that was louder than the quietest part in the system. If the pump is run off a header using PWM, for example; then I would expect it to make a racket! It MUST get 12VDC power at all times!

I have never seen anything like that posted. Do you have links?
All from random posters on forums. I think some even here on AT Forums, I'll have to do a search to dig some up. It's not exactly "official" since it's just from people on forums, but I remember it distinctly because I was doing research on an H50, to see if it is worth getting. After reading a lot of mixed reactions from different posters (especially the "yeah not all H50s are made the same, I had 3 and 1 of them cooled like crap" comments), I decided it was not worth replacing my Hyper 212+ at the moment.

@Yellowbeard:

I spent half an hour with AT search, didn't find what I was referring to. Maybe it wasn't from here. (On a side note, I did learn from there that you are the official Corsair rep. Sorry about bringing up the H50 thing, wasn't my intention to sling mud or anything)

I also did some googling, but when keywords are common words such as "not all H50s are made the same", it just isn't helpful at all.

Sorry I brought it up, if I ever see it again I'll update I suppose.

It's cool man, I don't take it personally but I do take it seriously. Let's assume for the sake of argument that your statement was correct. It might be a sign of an issue that I need to bring up so that we can check into it and correct it. If you see something that should concern Corsair, please don't hesitate to point it out to me.

Cheers.

no.

then your gonna give coolit an excuse to flame ya guys.
Serious on this... dont give coolit an open door.

You guys did great in my book.
You upgraded the rad like we all asked.

And now you guys cant do much more without stepping into the higher 3 figure category which you dont want to do.

lol yellowbeard knows me doing this the best.
If you think you flamed the H5O, oh man... you did nothing compared to what i and other experts did at first.

But we then realized, this isnt really aimed at the experts.

Oh yeah, I read that thread while I was trying to dig up H50 posts using AT search. That's how I discovered he was the Corsair rep.

All I can say is, you were a very very mean dude, Aigo

im very serious when it comes to watercooling.

Because of people like us also, that is the reason you guys got so much now.
If we didnt like something, we would rant a storm.

Watercooling now is nothing like it was 3 yrs ago.
And i really like this product.
It only shows what a "super entry level" water can do.

And water = greed.
You get greedy.

And the performance difference can be quite large as you go from a H7O to this:
(all my radiators for my main system..4 to be exact )

Very very large.

You guys can also see how radiators differ in thickness.

Looks like you cannibalized an intercooler from a Porsche
