For everyone looking for a killer PSU this is it. Rated by silentpcreview.com as the best gaming/silent PSU there is.

Check out the review here

Here is the Buy.com link

Last time I checked buy.com was almost out of these babies. I wish they had the 620W version too, but 520W is more than I will need.

$140 for the larger version is a good price b/c the next cheapest is zipzoomfly at $153 shipped. I think you would only need the 620W version if you plan on running two 8800's, an Extremem edition C2D, and also want to OC everything. Other than that, the 520W should handle anything you throw at it with ease.

Wow I'm pissed. I just ordered that same psu from zzf last week for 119.00 shipped. oh well. It's an awesome psu by the way. I highly recommend it.

Ditto what Maevinj said, except I paid even more from Newegg. I needed it fast though, so free shipping wouldn't cut the mustard anyway, but this is a hot deal on a great PSU.

Cheers,

I was too late. The option to cancel the order has been removed from the page. So unfortunately no.

But it is 140 with shipping. Is it worth it for the extra price?

It depends on your machine setup. Know that this is a 80%+ efficiency PSU, so you shouldn't need an ultra high WATT psu.

Efficiency makes no difference to how much power the power supply puts out... Just how much it sucks from the wall to get that power. So a 70% efficient 550W PSU will put out as much power (as long as they are rated at the same temp, etc..) as a 80% efficient PSU.

Depends if you want to be future proofish... and get one of these

Or settle for a decent <$60 PSU

future proofish??? i was thinking about getting a 600+ watt one, just not sure at this time, hoping the prices fall alittle, i am seeing alot of bigger power supplies comming out and maybe the 600+ ones may come down alittle.

thats a good question, one i wish i could answer, it started to reboot out out nowhere, did it a few times a week or so, somtimes it would freeze in windows, then it just would not even load up windows, tryed to reformatt it and it still did the same thing, i checked it with a volt meter, and my rails were not moving much, but changed it anyway and it works fine now, so i am not sure if i did or not, either way i am looking to get a bigger power supply in the future, these look to be sold out right now

 op, in for one.

I was waffling between this unit, the ST56ZF and this ST50EF Plus. The sweet price on the Corsair pushed me over the edge.

Good review of the HX-520.

Another good linky for recommendations and relative PSU quality.

BTW, IMO this is plenty for anything except 88GTX SLI.

ttt on this deal

One of the best on the internet right now if you are looking for a quality PSU that doesn't sound like a jet engine. Plus Corsair is basically a Seasonic with a more quaility name.
