OP: In electronics, EVERY brand known to man will put out duds from time to time. That is a given. There is no brand that puts out perfect units 100% of the time. The two important things to consider are:
1) When you do NOT get a dud, how well you can expect the unit to perform.
2) When you DO get a dud OR when your unit stops working, how good is the warranty service (not how long is it for, I mean how hassle-free is the process and do they take care of you).
I can say this: Corsair has the best warranty service in the industry. They are the only company I know of that replaces your dead units with brand new sealed in box items, not refurbed units. This has happened with several Corsair items I've had that needed replacement and when my current PSU gives it up, my next unit will be a Corsair.
