What are the manufacturing specs??? You may be able to force cas 2....trcd of 3 is already pretty low and most average sticks will not run 2 100% stably on AMD64 systems....

According to Corsair, the timing I'm running are the rated speeds. But for some reason if I set my memory to auto in the BIOS is runs at 3-3-3-8 2T. CPUz shows SPD as 3-3-3-8. This same memory in my old K8N Neo2 Plat set to auto would run at 3-3-3-6 1T.

JEDEC also applies for wide standards.

You specifically, for being a more advanced user, will be able to alter the timings according to choice (system specs matter). However, risk system instability, or in contrast, get nice results. Pure CAS 2 might be hard if they're not the more expensive XMS versions, and I'm not talking about the extra LED addons.

Some people are running these memory modules without a hitch at 2-3-3-6 timings. I'm getting a Corsair TWINX2048-3200C2PT set myself to go with my X2 4400+ setup.

I intend to overclock the CPU by about 220MHz over the stock 2200MHz speed (220x11 = 2420MHz). But I want to preserve 1:1 ratio on the RAM. Will these modules hold good at 220MHz @2-3-3-6?

Has anybody tried overclocking these modules?

I'm running mine stock too.

I can't see the difference between 2-2-2-11 and 2.5-3-3-6, so I haven't bothered trying to tweak the timings.

If i'm not mistaken, these timings really aren't important in A64 systems. And i have the same A8N SLI premium with the same memory and auto settings are 8333

Yeah timings don't matter as much in an AMD system. Still...it's better to run DDR400 at 2-2-2 than DDR500 at 4-4-4, I think.

I contacted Corsair about that. For some unknown reason, they told me that they set the SPD chip to report "3-3-3-8", but the real rated timings are 2.5-3-3-6 for AMD systems and 2-3-3-6 for Intel systems. You might as well change the CAS setting to 2.5 and grab the extra (imperceptible) performance you purchased.

No and yes respectively.

Stable at 200/2-3-3-6-1T, not stable at 220/2-3-3-6-1T but fine at 220/2.5-3-3-6-1T for me on stock voltage.

Given I couldn't find anything that displayed any difference between 2 and 2.5 at 200 other than synthetic benchmarks ( and even then negligibly ) I'm not sure that is any real concern.

Delighted to hear that. Thanks.
