Agree, but not the point (as i'm sure you realize ) I've only bought from monarch once and it went great, but hearing that they won't take your return is disturbing. Bottom line is that they didn't send you what you ordered. What if your MB doesn't support over 612MB per slot, not to mention you can't run dual channel with this one stick. I agree with Rachet, they did NOT send you what you ordered, should be an exchange at no cost to you, no question.

I sent Monarch an email that was directed to this post so they understood the question of what happens if Monarch sends me the wrong item, and I received the following response :

"Thank you for your inquiry.

If we were to send you the wrong produt then we certainly would swap it out for the correct product.

Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

If I were Thunberbirdaholic I would contact Rick at the number above and try to resolve the problem. I honestly can't think of a vendor that I've done business with that wouldn't take a return if they sent the wrong item.

First, the link to the rebate form is dead. Without that form, you don't get the rebate. And, shipping is $6.50. So, the total price is $99.99 + 6.50 = 106.49 = NOT HOT!

I'm sure you can get the rebate form, the "mail me the form" link worked, but the PDF file link is definately FUBAR. Anyhow, I updated the post as to not get anyone too excited.

This is getting to be a regular pattern of deception by Outpost. Advertise it low with rebate then make the rebate unavailable. The rebate form will have a 7 days window and then when it appears again with a higher price. I tried to call and email for the rebate form but one out of three times, they got back with "please contact our customer service.." bs - Once a long while you get through a good deal but please stay away from this bad practice by Outpost.c*m
