Hmmm. . . potentially even hotter.

I'm about to buy 2 sets of this ram at once from the 'egg, and in the checkout screen I see "Included in your purchase is a 1-year subscription to PC magazine - a $19.97 value. If you choose not to receive the included magazine subscription, you may request a refund of the subscription value." Then I think 'refund'? They have a popup that explains "Why am I being offered a refund? - When a magazine publisher gives away subscriptions to its magazine, it is required by the Audit Bureau of Circulations to offer customers the alternative to obtain a "refund" of the magazine subscription's value.
In this case, Ziff Davis Media is offering a "refund" of $19.97 to customers who have purchased qualifying products AND who have NOT opted to receive the subscription of PC Magazine. THE REFUND OFFER IS REDEEMABLE THROUGH ZIFF DAVIS MEDIA EXCLUSIVELY.
Although this offer is technically a "refund", the price you pay for qualifying products is not in any way affected by this special offer."

So, $20 buck 'rebate'? Maybe I'm interpreting wrong, I dunno. Just thought I'd say something.

Interesting. I guess you have to checkout to see that offer, I didn't see it.

I jumped on this, 62.xx AR for me. Pretty good deal.

Me too. I bought 2 sets with two different accounts (my spouse, different email but same address and phone number) hoping to get two rebates! I'm somewhat skeptical that I'll even see one.

On the first purchase, I used the $100 Visa gift/debit card from the Charles Schwab deal. I put in the info just like a Visa card. Anyone think that will cause a delay or issue with NewEgg?

I've never had a problem with those visa gift cards although I never tried using one on the internet. Is it linked to your name at all, I can tell you newegg is pretty anal about making sure the shipping address is linked to the credit card. I remember trying to ship some gifts straight to peoples homes using my card and I had to send them a fax verifying the addresses.

Is the ZD rebate still effective? I went all the way the the "pay for order with ..." screen and I didn't see anything about the rebate. Has it expired?

If you read the guys post, it's not an actual "rebate," but based on the wording of the terms and conditions, he may get a 'refund' for a cancelled magazine subscription that would have been free.

Seems like this RAM is going to be as cheap as it's going to get right now. Chiefvalue lowered their price again after ZZF matched, but only lowered it by ten cents
