I bought a pair for $88.00 shipped a few weeks ago.

They run fine at 200MHz at 7-3-3-2.5

If I could do it again I would have got the Hyper-X for $100 shipped.

Still 18 bucks is 18 bucks if you only need 7-3-3-2.5 you ca't beat the price (until next week when they will be 78. buks a gig

DRAM Prices Dropping

looks like those prices just keeps dropping and dropping. i got mine when it was at 85 bucks.

anyways i think mine was defected so i shipped them back for RMA. and they shipped it yesterday (4/21) from NJ (weird cuz first time they shipped it from california where they're located) ...so i was a bit annoyed thinking it'd take a while...as it actually said the estimated delivery time would be the 26th. but little did i know that it was delivered today 2 hours ago (just checked fedex site) and im at school right now. can't wait til i get home and install those suckers!

but im really amazed by the fast shipping...one night from NJ to california...and the service type is "Express Saver" not the 2nd day or over night service.

wish USPS could be remotely as good as fedex on shipping.

My prediction is that it will dip below $80/GB before going back up. Recently DRAM chip prices have dropped significantly and we are now seeing the results. How long it will last is anyones call.

2 x 512MB running 218.5Mhz @ 2.5-3-3-6 @ 2.7v inside a Laparty UT Nforce3 250Gb. Upping the DIMM voltage to 2.9v would cause the system to lock up. Runs good as far as I can tell. Prime95 stable.

You might want to update--Monarch has it for $84, which makes it a couple bucks cheaper than Chiefvalue if you factor in CA tax.
