Well duh I know that but I mean is it going to go back up in value to where it would be a good idea to purchase low, sell high later on in a few months...

Wow, how much memory is too much? I just bought a Dell Dimension 3.4ghz 4700 for a little over $500 with 1gb of DDR 400mhz RAM. $89 wouldn't be too much to plunk down on another 1gb. Do I really need 2gb of RAM?

Well you have not been around computers for very long then! How about $300 for 1 Meg of DRAM memory back in the Mid 80's and that was a GOOD deal for me in my 8088-12 PC.

The Memory I see at Monarch is CAS 2.5 and is only $88.

Smartt: These sizes of RAM, and speed of processor are only really useful for gaming. I recommend 1GB-1.5gb for playing the current top of the line games. But if you only payed $500 for that system, you skimped on the video card, which I would buy LONG before I added more RAM.

I don't need two Gigs, but if the price plateaus at, say $80 shipped I'll be giving serious thought to it. I figure that I won't need it right now, but towards the end of my new rig's lifespan, four years from now when even bargain computers come with 4 Gigs, it will be nice to have.

This really is something to see. Apparently these retaliers must have huge stocks of the stuff, or at least access to lots more at low prices. Otherwise you would think that they would just sit on their supplies and let them sell at higher prices.

How low will it go? Hot damn, I thought $108 - $10 coupon = $98 was a kick ass deal two weeks ago. $88 dollars shipped now? Wow.

Could it possibly get below $70...for 1 Gig of quality name-brand non-B&M crap brand RAM?

Squalish, you're right I skimped on the video card but I'm not really into FPS games, which seems to be what everyone equates to gaming these days.

Well RAM has been price fixed across the market for so long .... it was only a matter of time before it started to go down in price. This is an awesome deal on some really great RAM. Count me in for 2 sticks

Now if only those crazy video cards would decline in price a couple hundred

I don't think so. I live in California and Newegg charges me sales tax but Monarch doesn't!

One thing I never get about Corsair memory is that their CAS2.5 modules are always cheaper than their CAS3 ones. What is up with that?
