This looks like a great deal at $39.99 AR with the price of DDR2 these days. These are $84.99 at Newegg right now.

Yeah... seems like a decent price for DDR2. Personally, I've been holding off to build a reasonably solid performing machine at a reasonable expense.

I debated a while, but I'm going to go down the AMD 620 route with one of the 785G based MBs... I don't happen to game at all, but needed something to drive dual monitors.

With this memory... New Egg's combo deals and a decent drive... I should be able to put together a nice little system for under $300 which was roughly my threshold point. Now if I can only get a good price on my 939 based system on ebay, I'll be really happy.

Deja Vu all over Dave.....I'm in the same boat thinking the same thing with the same price point. But I'm not messin' with ebay for my 939 system......it's going to the local recycle center.

OT: Which MB did you go with?

I have yet to actually pull the trigger... but have been leaning towards one of the Gigabit varients...

It may be up to a week or two before I actually pull the trigger.

I believe 785G are all AM3 and only DDR3 sticks will work, not these.

edit: sorry, I just looked and there are a couple that support DDR2

Yeah... Admittedly, I was a bit confused. There are a couple boards (Asus, Biostar) that take DDR2... after looking again I saw that the Gigabyte boards take DDR3. Sorry about that.
