DC rent is high and typically members of Congress have roommates.... Why? I have really excellent health insurance, yet I still think those less fortunate should have health insurance. Another politician who talks a great game, but who doesn't live what she preaches. Yes, she doesn't have to live in poverty, and I wouldn't expect her too. But, when you move into a luxury apartment complex that omits the poor, and then you complain that people can't find affordable housing I think you're full of sh*t and lies.
I'm starting to get it, the outrage is about her living in a building that doesn't offer affordable housing.
I don't know the DC laws regarding this so I'll make assumptions. First one is I bet not all places have to offer affordable housing, second I'd bet AOC would require place offer affordable housing. I guess that is where the outrage is at?
And imagine if she lived in an apartment in a section 8 building in the city.
