Hmmm...so you guys are happy with this TV? I went home and set it up last night. Compared to the Polaroid one from CC for $599 this one feels so cheap. The remote is crap, it weighs nothing, the base is crap, way less connections in back, and its fricken ugly...just...ugh. The quality is so poor compared to the other. The response time is better 8 compared 16 and contrast 1200 compared to 800. This one should have a nicer picture then Polaroid, but I sure as hell cant tell. I am wondering if I should just keep the Polaroid and send this one back.

From what I understand Poloroid is very hit and miss. In reality it's not Poloroid brand, the name was just bought out and they slap "Poloroid" on the front of their TV's. I heard that last week from my somewhat tech-geeky boss.

I dont know whats up with your TV WA261.....but mine looks great. I have 1080i signals that are amazing. The TV is lightweight, but that doesnt equate to cheap IMO. The remote is kinda cheap tho, but thats a minor dislike, the picture is why you get a TV.

I don't know what's his deal either.
The Sceptre doesn't look or feel cheap.
The picture quality is great in HD (isn't it what matters most?), the bezel looks just fine.
The remote is on the cheap side, but who cares.
The most of us will be using a good Universal one anyways.

Yeah, I like the look of the TV. That stupid blue light on the front is too bright, so I cut a small piece of black tape and got rid of that distraction.

Any info on the next version of a 1080p sceptre in 32"/37"?

got in on both these new sceptre 22" and 32" online only deals,
but end up just using the one bigger one mostly now (unless im multitasking..)

The 22" is nice bec. it's a real 1680x1050 monitor but
1920x1080 would be great and i would think you'd need
a 37" or so to make it a good balance.. (using it as a monitor 3 ft. away)
the 37" 1080p sceptre at costco seems have an older style menu system
compared to my two.. Hmmm... Anyone used the 37" 1080p sceptre?

ahhh... Gotta love UPS. My TV box came with a 4"x8" HOLE . I don't see how they can damage a box that terribly that says HDTV on it. Freaking 'tards...

I haven't hooked it up yet, will do soon. Hopefully it'll work.

I received mine an hour ago.
It is broken. It does not show until I turn it on. It shows a crack that goes all over the screen when you turn it on. There is also a hole in the box about where the center of the crack is.

Just put it all back in the box to return. That's a shame.

I got mine a couple weeks ago and it looks amazing. This is my first time owning HD. I bought a VGA cable for my computer and some Playstation 2 Composite cables. I couldn't get progressive scan to work over S-Video on Guitar Hero 2, but the composite cables worked great.

Great picture, and overall very satisfying. However, I too am concerned about this aspect ratio nonsense. The TV only ever displays 4:3, never 16:9. I don't have a great DVD player. Has anyone managed to fix this? I would like to be able to use 16:9.

I got mine about 2 weeks ago. Just recently I began to get two 1 inch wide vertical strips that have some sort of color problem. If I turn the set of and on it usually goes away. Anyone else with this problem? When the christmas rush is over it is definitely going back for an exchange. Not too big a deal since it only happens occasionally on power up, and is easily fixed. I am a bit disappointed.
