Surpirsed this hasn't made it on here yet, but here goes anyway......

Credit goes to adamzam10 on DVDTALK

This is unconfirmed at this time but it appears the Alien Quad deal is back (see below). It appears these deals are good until 1/18/2004

$61.99 - $20 discount Coupon = $41.99each

Alien Quadrilogy --- should ring up $61.99 then a $20 discount coupon will automatically ring up for it making it $41.99.

$42.99 - $10 discount Coupon = $32.99each

It also appears they have the Indiana Jones set for $43 with an INSTANT COUPON of $10 off.

$13.97each

WB 2 Disc SEs

Once Upon a Time in America
The Color Purple
Singing in the Rain
Unforgiven
The Adventures of Robin Hood (Flynn)
Amadeus
Citizen Kane
Casablanca
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (Costner)
The Right Stuff
Color Purple
Citizen Kane
Giant
The Mission
One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest
Dr Zhivago
Yankee Doodle Dandy
JFK
Space Jam

***SELECTION ON THE WB TITLES WILL VARY BY STORE/LOCATION

LASTLY AND MOST IMPORTANT!!!!

Do not just go up and ask for a price check on these items as it will come up as the price listed on the box. You have to get rung up as if you are going to purchase the item because each coupon for each item shows up as a separate line item on the ticket. It DOES NOT simply discount the item to a lower price but acts as if you actually handed the clerk a coupon ...... HOWEVER there is NO COUPON NEEDED this is an instant savings deal.

This is assuming that everything is working the same as the previous deal.

So if you missed it last time looks like you may be able to get in on the AQ deal afterall.

Good Luck and Enjoy.

For further Costco DVD deals check the regularly updated thread at DVDTALK.

I can confirm that the Aliens Quad is $41.99 ($61.99- $20 instant coupon applied at register) + tax. I picked it up on Tuesday along with season 1 of the animated Spider-Man on MTV for $18.99.

Wow, great prices. I remember drooling last time they came around.

Are people generally pleased with their Costco memberships? I mean, to spend $45 on a membership to get some dvd's on the cheap is silly. I am wondering if it is really worth it generally speaking to be a member there. Are the memberships good for one year only (the pdf with all the info is loading very slowly on my work computer and isn't quite as searchable as I'd like it to be)?

Costco membership is one of the best deals around, as far as I'm concerned. That store saves me so much money, it's crazy. I've been an executive member (2% cashback) for about five years now and it's worth every penny. I kick myself thinking of all of the dough I could have saved if I would have joined sooner. Not only are the prices hard to beat, they treat their customers like gold. The majority of my shopping is done at Costco because I want to support business that set the bar for good customer service. Why deal with the hassle of shopping at Staples or OM-- trying to pricematch this, or use a coupon for that, or chase after rebates, etc.-- when you can just go to Costco, pay an already low price and get the h3ll out.

My only complaints are the long lines (if you go on the weekends) and the somewhat limited product selection on computer software and peripherals. Even so, they're improving things a bit, thanks to their website.

Yes, they are only good for one year, but I think it is worth it. You are right, it isn't worth it just for some cheaper DVD's, but if you buy in bulk, you can make up the $45 very quickly. My wife and I don't buy in serious bulk, but we enjoy discounts on larger quantities of stuff like gatorade, meat, and snacks. And I can't complain when I can pick up cheap DVD's or Sandisk Cruzer Mini 256MB flash drives!

Mike,

This is ripped directly from a post by misterchimpy on DVDTALK for a way to get a membership and a bonus for being an AMEX card holder, take a look perhaps it will help.

Slightly ot, but worth noting, as people have posted about whether to join Costco. It is possible to get $10 off the price of a Costco membership using 1 of 2 American Express coupons. This was a topic on Fatwallet last year(where I got the idea), and it looks as if they have renewed the deal for 2004.

1) OFFER (click on superstores).
You can use the code OFFERZONE34 either online or printout a coupon to get a $10 giftcard when you buy a membership.

--only valid paying with Amex card
--new Costco members only(can't be used with renewals, but you could just let your old membership lapse)(there was a lengthy discussion about this on fatwallet, they will still take back merchandise even if your membership has lapsed).
--valid until 4/30/04

2) OFFER(go to cool blue offers). Use the code COOLBLUE34 at checkout.

--new Costco members only.
--valid until 4/30/04 as well
--doesn't appear to have amex restriction

Both offers explicitly say that they cannot be combined with other offers, which is too bad because they had a similar deal last year, and I was able to use both coupons on a membership and ended up with a $20 gift card! They mail the gift card about 4-6 weeks after you join.

One other potential benefit, I have seen Amex sign up tables at my local Costco to sign up people for the Cash Back card(free and decent rebate) and they have offered $10 gift cards as incentives there as well.

Best of luck.

Greg

Not sure if it's an issue with these movies, but keep in mind that Costco edits (censors) their DVD's, which is why I will NEVER buy a DVD from them again.

I have never heard of this before, nor has anyone mentioned this on any of the other sites (DVDTALK & HTF) that I frequent and thousands of people buy their DVDs at Costco on those forums.

I have never noticed any "edited/censored/missing" parts on any DVD I have gotten from them.

Yeah I would love to pick Alias if they have the Fox TV series discounts again.

Alias is not a FOX DVD product -- sorry.

I seriously doubt this is real. If anyone would do that it's Sams Club since they are a part of Walmart. And even Walmart doesn't censor, they just don't sell unrated or uncensored version of movies (i.e. American Pie etc.)

Hot! I looked for Alien Quadrilogy before Christmas and there were none at my local store!

I confirmed the $20 instant coupon to work tonight at the Goleta, CA (Santa Barbara) store.

Just four Alien Quads left on the shelf. I quickly looked at the visible stock under the tables and saw no more. Dozens of Indiana Jones sets...

don't forget that most of these wb dvds are also part of the buy 2se get 1 free promotion that ends 1/30!

I have an acrobat file of coupon for the promotion, but someone would have to attach it. I also have a similar one that came in the parade secion of the paper about 2 months ago. I can scan that one too if anyone needs it.

Picked up my Quadrilogy today. This boxset is simply amazing, so much quality material. I'm a sucker for DVD extras and the Aliens series is one of my favorite of all time, I'm in heaven.
