Costco Tires $60 off Coupon 1/17 or 1/20

There is a coupon in the Costco Coupon book (available thru the mail or at the store) for $60 off the purchase of four tires, Bridgestone or Michelin, starting 1/17 or 1/20. I don't have the coupon in front of me so if anyone wants to verify the start date, feel free.

This is a great deal if you need some tires. I utilized the coupon like this a few years back and had 4 Michelin tires put on my car for approx. $55 each. Other "outside" companies were selling the same tires in the $90 range.

To save some real money purchase the tires here and have them shipped to your local costco and pay $9 a wheel to have them mounted and balanced at costco. I saved over $300 what costco quoted me for same 17" Z rated tires. Also, you can check out this thread. Link

Depends. If you have softer, "high performence" tires anywher from 10K to 30K miles. If you have the stock tires from your Accord, you probably can get close to 40K to 50K on them. Higher mileage tires typically are harder and offer less traction. You can check your threadwear rating, its printed right on the tire. I'm guessing yours is close to 400 or higher. Obviously the higher the number, the longer the tires "should" last. You can only get optimal miles out of your tires with proper maintainence, including check tire pressures often (while the tires are cold) and frequent rotation of your tires.

The treadware number won't tell the whole store, I ask a guy at discount tires told me every tires company used different spec. I had a pair of MXV4 and RE900 got them from auction, I did rotate every 7K mi, RE900 flat in less than 30K, and MXV4 flat at about 50K, the MXV4(original) has 320 and RE900 has 340. Bridgestone is great for handling, but I would rather spend a little more now for a Michellin so I save more later not to replace a set of new tires and installation charge.

Just did this for my wife's Civic back in November. With shipping and installation was still cheaper than the tire chains by 20-30 bux. And I did it while she was out of town so it was no hassle at all. Couple years ago I did this for my Accord. At that time it was only $16 + tax to have all 4 mounted and balanced. I was quite surprised to call and find out it was now $9 per tire. But still a good deal none the less.

Vag, your link has an extra http in it. Fixed Link I checked their prices $120 per tire vs $130 (includes mounting/balance) for Costco so it actually works out much better for me to buy them at Costco, especially with the warranty and coupon. I'm glad I'm a procrastinator and did not buy the tires over Xmas like I told myself to do.

Whatever works out to be the cheapest for you. The costco I went to didn't even carry 17's so they would have needed to order them anyway. The tires through tire rack still carry a warranty though it would be more of a pain to deal with. Also, I have already had the wheels rebalanced on Costco's dime once and I have only had the tires a couple months so it's working out for me.

Costco policy should have changed sometime ago about mounting tires that are not bought there. You can have them mounted and balanced but its not supposed to be lifetime balance and rotate if they are not costco tires.

My tire finally gave up today and I couldn't wait until 1/20. My friend hooked me up with Pacific Tire Outlet over at Milpitas, CA. 4 Tires for my 99 accord LX came out to $206 OTD. That's including 5k rotations, taxes, computer alignment, install, old tire disposal, 40k warranty, etc. The tires are called "Warrior or something like that. According to the store owner, it's by BFGoodRich. The tires are only $40 each. Dont' recall what the rating is but at 40 bucks each, I'm not too worried about it.
