thx for reminding me about Chase Freedom 5% for Costco.com.
even tho penfed's 5% gas visa is good at the pump, i'll take a free $75 from Chase for buying $1500 Costco gift cards.
hm.. can non-members use the pumps by using just the gift cards?
The first thing the pumps ask for is your Costco membership card. At confirms active status and then asked for payment type.
BTW, I am not sure you can use gift/costco cash cards at the pump. I ask this because i asked a couple of years ago about using an Amex gift card that i got (<$100). They said the system places a temp reserve of something like $400 on the card until the transaction is done and then removes it in favor of the actual charge.
Not sure if the guy was BS'ing me or not, but there you have it.
no.
visa only, tho I don't know why?
visa and mastercard are usually interchangeable.
I have no idea what the diff, if any, is between the 2?
Has anyone gotten their new card yet?
Does anybody have the rebate percentages for the Costco Visa?
Wow
4% Most Gas
3% Restaurants
Nice... better than my Chase Amazon card of 2% on both.
Sucks that these rewards are for Costco cash (or cash redeem once a year at Costco).
I like access to my rewards as a statement credit whenever I want.
I didn't know this until this last year, but you can just bring the rebate check to the customer service desk and cash them out! Did this in February for cash in hand instead of using it to pay for my purchases at the register. You can use the cash to pay off your statement (or not!).

Costco, Amex and Citi and for sure keep track of the legal bills because they're going to really add up. But hey I get it, it's the principle of the thing. So, if Citi every gets hacked and my information is garnered who do I file a happy suit against? Costco and or Amex?
Georgia's credit freeze law provides Georgia consumers with the ability to place a freeze on their credit file for only $3, or a total of $9 for each of the three major credit-reporting agencies: Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. Each temporary lift commonly called a thaw to allow access to the consumers credit file also costs $3, and is available electronically within 15 minutes of request, keeping on-the-spot credit an option for shoppers. If you are the victim of identity theft, there is no charge for a credit freeze. Placing a credit freeze is also free to senior citizens 65 or older, but they can be charged $3 for lifting or removing the freeze.
If you ever do a credit freeze, just be damned sure that you keep the pin number each bureau gives you because w/o that, you're screwed. Trying to unfreeze your account w/o the pin can take weeks or months. So make sure you write it down someplace where you're going to be able to find it in a few months or a few years.Costco, Amex and Citi and for sure keep track of the legal bills because they're going to really add up. Or, you could untwist your panties and drop $9 and be protected against the inevitable Citi hack and so much more.

That's not the point. We were told one thing and they did something completely opposite. Maybe you don't give a shit about your financial information being handed around like a cheap hooker, but this ho likes his secrets.Costco, Amex and Citi and for sure keep track of the legal bills because they're going to really add up. Does anyone know what happens to our old co-branded CostCo Amex credit card? They've mailed me some literature which I haven't read yet.
Unfortunately I already have an Amex BCE and don't want to lose/close my Amex CostCo line of credit for credit history reasons.
There must be a few AT'ers in the same boat, what are you doing?
