There is a quality control issue here. Lifetime warranty for ram that may be defective on arrival or break shortly down the road, versus ram from companies you can trust. Also, have you ever tried to warranty something that has a "lifetime" warranty? Godd Luck if you ever do. For the $20 (in you example) that you're saving, you losing peace of mind, and maybe even $$$'s if you have to pay shipping to send something back in for warranty replacement. Stick with Corsair/Crucial/Mushkin, I guarantee you're 99.99% headache free (though anything can happen)
