could it be my Venice???

ok guys, i just finished putting together a 3200 venice, ati x800xl and a dfi ultra-d. But the problem is that when i turn the power on, i get no video whatsoever...I know you need bios updated in order for the cpu to run with the mobos but i also heard that the dfi nf4 mobos will run on the venice with the stock bios. I just thought that it might be the cpu. Could it be?? plz help.

That's the NF4 Ultra motherboard with the two PCI-E x16 slots right? Maybe you have the card plugged into the wrong one? Or perhaps the little "SLI" enabler is set for SLI? Doesn't sound like your processor is the problem

Yah it is the nf4 ultra with the two pci-e slots....and no i made sure it wasnt in sli mode...anyone??

You might try a pci video card quickly to see if you can get it going.

Try using only one stick of ram in the orange slot nearest to the edge of the board. Also make sure all four power connectors are hooked up. My board was
also very picky about the ram with the old bios, wouldn't boot at all with my
TCCD.

I just put together the same system... X800XL, DFI Ultra-D, 3200 Venice. I've got it running at 2.7 GHz on the stock cooler nice and happy
