I just got another Gigabyte Gaming OC 4090. Same type of whine/buzz. Before I try super glue, I thought about checking power supply again even though I did so in the past and it appeared to make no difference with lots of 4090s I tried. Though I have only used this one PSU on my new motherboard. Thought I was safe and covered by buying top of the line eVGA SuperNOVA T2 1600 which is way overkill in terms of wattage, but it had best ripple suppression and great specs in so got it in my quest to rid of GPU coil whine
However I do notice a buzzing sound from THE PSU if I put my ear close to it only when system is powered on regardless of load on components. I tested without card under load and same buzz from PSU. Also removed 4090 video card and same buzz from PSU using integrated video. System off no buzz noise from PSU
Tried direct wall connect instead of to UPS and no difference even multiple outlets on different circuits in the house.
Not sure do all PSUs have a slight buzz when on if ear against it or is it faulty and could be causing RTX 4090 buzzing. It's an eVGA SuperNOVA T2 1600 which is supposed to be like top of the line.
Anyways the 4090 buzz when under load is a lot louder and is coming from the card. What us the likelihood my PSU causing GPU to coil whine buzz noise given PSU itself has a little bit of buzz.
