Sorry for the slowness... the upload is stealing all of my speed.
OdiN, i PMed you back
Thanks for all of the offers everyone. I think OdiN can take care of it. If someone wanted to try it too as a backup, that'd be awesome. *looks right at Tick*

I could list the specs of my machine, but I really don't see any compelling reason to do so. I'm not sure how many ATers want to compete for the right to do your work for you for free.
Good luck, though.

Hi all!
As some of you know, I'm a set designer, and right now I'm assisting on a show called The Amen Corner. I've got to get these 3 massive photos stitched together to make one massive panorama. I've tried photomerge in photoshop, but my computer just can't handle it.
There is some time sensitivity on this... I need to get the file to the printer soon.
Right now i'm uploading the pictures, but it'll be quite a few hours before it's all done. (414mb total)
Maybe someone could download them in the morning and do a stitch for me?
Maybe people who are willing could list their specs, so that whoever's system is most likely able to handle it could do it.

Seems a bit ODD, maybe you should have setup an FTP server from the computer you're talking about, that way you wouldn't have had to upload anything.. I'll give it a shot and see if my 2.8C@3.5 would be able to handle it better or not. If it does, I'll post the results.

I can do it, but Jndietz can probably do it better.

Well OdiN just tried and got a not enough RAM message... anyone with more than 2gb willing to try?

CS2 Photomerge isn't even that great compared to other free utilities out there.

You should offer payment.

I have a Dell PowerEdge 6800 running Windows 2003 Datacenter Edition SP2, with 8cores of xeon processing power with 32GB of ram and OC48 line at work not doing anything. But you'll need to be a customer to use it.
